Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School completion / GED.
• Associate degree preferred in healthcare or related field.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer technology.
• Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
• Medical Terminology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial counseling and collect co-pays/deductibles; educate on financial assistance.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, complete registrations in the ADT system.
• Verify insurance benefits and generate ABN; review orders for compliance.
• Obtain pre-certification when applicable; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Communicate with physicians, offices and co-workers to ensure accurate information.
