Job summary

TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking an Access Associate (PRN/Optional) to support Labor & Delivery, Admitting and ED registration teams. The role includes admissions coordination, collecting patient information, verifying insurance and obtaining signatures for CMS compliance.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years in customer service, typing 35 wpm, and medical terminology knowledge within the first year. Training is provided; shifts vary with differential pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Typing speed of 35 wpm required.
• Medical terminology knowledge within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in a hospital, ensuring accurate demographics and insurance data.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs.
• Coordinate with Labor & Delivery, Admitting and ED registration teams.
• Assist with admissions board and CMS compliance signatures as needed.
