Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a strong customer service environment.
• One year of registration experience in a hospital environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and provide customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records accurate demographic and insurance information from patients.
• Performs cashiering tasks and collects co-pays, deductibles and coinsurance.
• Verifies medical necessity and assists with insurance verification as needed.
• Explains consent forms and obtains signatures in a professional manner.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy practices and protects patient information in daily duties.
• Supports a positive, respectful patient experience and escalates issues as appropriate.
