Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic registration/access functions and insurance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records accurate demographic and insurance information for billing.
• Explain consent forms, obtain signatures, and respond to questions professionally.
• Posts and receipts patient payments; balances cash drawer; collects co-pays and deductibles.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and protects patient health information.
• Communicates professionally with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers to ensure excellent service.
