Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA seeks an ED Registration/Receptionist to coordinate care for emergency department patients and serve as the central contact for calls and communications. You will register patients, collect insurance information and support billing processes.

The role requires strong communication, computer skills, and a patient-focused approach in a fast-paced environment. Training includes EPIC registration classes and hands-on department onboarding, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Less than 1 year experience (3-6 months) required.
Completion of EPIC Registration Classes Upon Hire Required and 3-4 weeks hands-on training in the department Upon Hire Required.
Medical Terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate care for ED patients and act as receptionist and central contact point.
Register all Emergency Department patients and collect insurance information.
Answer phones and direct inquiries to appropriate resources while maintaining confidentiality.
Enter data in EPIC and other systems to support registration and billing processes.
Assist with patient flow and communicate delays or issues to care teams.
