Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to be the first point of contact for patients in our health system. You will handle patient registration, verify insurance eligibility, and collect payments, while delivering courteous, accurate service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent customer service over the phone, in person, and in writing.
• 1 year of experience in patient admitting/registration and/or insurance eligibility verification.
• EPIC training/experience and familiarity with insurance payor systems and ICD-10 terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Update patient registration and insurance information in our systems.
• Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, providing clear information.
• Advocate for patients to ensure their needs are met and questions are answered.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff to support seamless patient care.
