Job summary

Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is seeking a Patient Access Technician to support the patient care team with clerical tasks and data collection. You will serve as a liaison for medical support services and help with accurate data retrieval in computerized systems.

The role requires interaction with patients, insurance verification, and revenue-cycle tasks across multiple locations as needed, with opportunities to collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to gather and exchange information clearly, with proper grammar and spelling.
• Familiarity with data entry and basic computer systems for patient data.
• Willingness to travel to varying work locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greets, instructs, directs and assists patients and visitors on arrival.
• Facilitates the revenue cycle: patient registration, insurance verification, co-pay collection, data entry and billing inquiries.
• Collaborates with departments on patient access information.
• Performs pre-registration and insurance verification for CHKDHS services.
• Provides coverage to assigned registration locations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
