Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Patient Registration and Financial Services team member to greet and register patients for clinic, hospital, Ambulatory, or Emergency services. You will verify demographics, insurance eligibility, and process payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOX controls and payer requirements.

The role requires strong English communication, organizational skills, and the ability to switch tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

Six months of health care financial experience OR cash handling OR customer service in high-volume settings.
Two years of keyboarding/typing and navigating multiple computer applications in Windows.
Per National Agreement, experience waiver for KP Coalition employees.

Mansioni

Register patients for medical services in clinic, hospital, ambulatory, or emergency settings.
Verify demographic and insurance information; determine payer sources and input data.
Process payments, handle cash and deposits per policies; communicate payment expectations to patients.
Schedule and communicate appointments as needed; refer or direct to Financial Advocates when appropriate.
Explain policies, obtain signatures, and maintain compliance with billing and payer requirements.
Assist patients by providing information and directing to relevant departments.
