Qualifications

• Six (6) months of health care financial OR six (6) months of cash handling OR six (6) months customer service experience in high volume customer service environment.
• Two (2) years of experience keyboarding/typing and navigating multiple computer applications in a Windows environment including data input.
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Responsibilities

• Registration: Greets and registers patients for medical care in a clinic or hospital setting; verifies demographics and insurance.
• Revenue Collection: Determines and collects cost-shares and partial payments; processes payments and deposits.
• Appointing & Messaging: Takes messages and schedules appointments as needed.
• Regulatory/Organizational Compliance: Ensures compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and payer policies; handles forms and documentation.
• General Services: Maintains supplies and assists patients with directions and referrals.
