Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience with computers, Microsoft Office applications, and web-based platforms.
• Work experience with medical insurance, HMO, managed care, electronic medical billing/order entry/registration systems, and appointment scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner and communicate clearly.
• Verify and collect patient co-pays and update registration data accurately.
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain referrals/authorizations, and explain payment expectations.
• Schedule appointments and transcribe physician orders accurately in the appropriate systems.
• Maintain patient records and ensure data accuracy during registration and visits.
• Scan and manage patient documents and handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.
