Job summary

Responsibilities

• Creates the initial electronic health record and ensures no duplicates.
• Registers patients, verifies demographics, insurance and collects co-pays.
• Explains insurance concepts and directs patients to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and notice requirements.
• Schedules appointments and provides test prep, arrival instructions and directions.
• Provides exceptional customer service and assists patients with transportation and interpreters when needed.
• Monitors and processes electronic health record work queues.
