Job summary

Women’s Care in Orlando, FL is seeking a Patient Access Representative who will be the first face and voice of the practice, collecting patient information, scheduling, and guiding billing encounters.

You will greet patients, verify demographics, scan documents into the EMR, handle payments, and respond to calls and emails with a service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Customer-centric, warm and professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to learn EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously.
• Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update profiles.
• Collect payments and assist with billing while meeting time-of-service expectations.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system.
• Set up payment plans per policy.
• Answer high volumes of calls and emails following values.
• Verify insurance eligibility and registration prior to visits.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments.
• Ensure lobby stays tidy and inform patients of delays.
• Ensure all appointments in the EMR are checked out at day end.
• Comply with HIPAA rules.
