Job summary

Women’s Care in Winter Park, FL seeks a Patient Access Representative to welcome patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, schedule visits, and ensure accurate registration and billing.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong organization, and proficiency with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks). You will handle payments, answer high-volume calls, and help patients navigate forms while upholding HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience at every encounter.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Office; healthcare familiarity helpful.
• Preferred experience in a medical/OB-GYN setting and with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, prompt manner.
• Obtain and verify patient demographics and update profile per policy.
• Scan insurance cards/IDs and input information into the EMR (HIPAA compliant).
• Collect payments and assist with billing inquiries; manage time-of-service collection goals.
• Verify insurance eligibility and ensure registration is complete prior to physician visits.
• Answer high volume calls and respond to emails; schedule or reschedule appointments.
• Ensure proper checkout of appointments and tidy lobby/front area; assist with forms if needed.
