AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Patient Access/Eligibility Specialist to verify benefits, obtain authorizations, schedule and register patients, and collect payments. This role supports front-desk operations and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure timely care delivery.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service experience, ability to multi-task, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Training is provided from day one, with opportunities for growth within the health system.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required].
• Associate degree [Preferred].
• 1+ year of customer service experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Reviews eligibility and benefits verification for patient visits and ensures correct authorizations to avoid denials.
• Performs data entry, documents attempts to obtain missing information, and supports upfront collection goals.
• Monitors patient wait/registration times and collaborates with clinical teams to reduce delays in care.
• Acts as patient liaison with clinical offices to ensure timely submission of documents and forms.
• Schedules patients per department protocols and verifies accuracy of orders and insurance info.
• Registers patients for services and explains financial responsibilities and payment options.
