Job summary

Qualifications

• HS/GED; Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year physician practice experience; on-site training provided.
• Experience with EPIC or a practice management system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and update insurance/demographic information in the practice management system.
• Gather registration and financial information for pre-registration and enter it accurately.
• Answer phones, schedule and reschedule patient appointments per protocols.
• Verify demographics, complete financial screening, and identify required authorizations.
• Assist with prior authorization and coordination of diagnostic testing as needed.
• Ensure payment collection, provide receipts, and handle basic charge entry and deposits.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect PHI; perform daily scans into EPIC.
