Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and updates insurance/demographic information in the practice management system.
• Gathers registration and financial information for patient pre-registration; enters data accurately.
• Answers phones; schedules, reschedules and cancels patient appointments.
• Contacts patients at home to confirm scheduled and canceled appointments.
• Performs full registration at check-in, including eligibility verification and Medicare questions.
• Collects co-pays and provides receipts per cash-control protocols.
• May enter charges or payments and assist with cash deposits as needed.
• Facilitates prior authorization and scheduling for diagnostic testing in EPIC.
