Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Patient Access Associate to support a well-organized practice and promote safe patient care. You will perform clerical duties, collect co-pays, input demographics and insurance data, and verify eligibility to ensure a smooth revenue cycle.

Strong communication, attention to privacy, and accuracy are essential. The role involves scheduling appointments, obtaining physician orders, and handling routine test results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology helpful.
• Typing speed of 40-50 wpm preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Experience in a medical setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient rights and responsibilities with respect for diversity.
• Posts payments and balances payments; ensures funds are secured and submitted.
• Verifies new patient paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Ensures accurate patient registration information to support revenue cycle.
• Performs insurance eligibility checks prior to scheduled appointments.
• Obtains patient demographics and insurance information and enters into system.
• Maintains patient privacy; protects patient information in accordance with policy.
• Coordinates scheduling, tests results, and physician orders as needed.
• Responds to inquiries; facilitates patient/visitor activities in a courteous manner.
