Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a patient account & admissions coordinator who ensures accurate registration, insurance information and timely processing to optimize cash flow and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and solid computer/typing skills, with prior receptionist or customer service experience preferred. You will support admissions, patient accounts and front-desk operations in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Independent problem-solving skills required.
• Proficient computer and typing skills.
• Knowledge of correct telephone answering techniques.
• Previous receptionist experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years customer services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs account creation and registration tasks with complete demographic and insurance data.
• Verifies insurance through CPSI eligibility and documents patient information.
• Collects co-pays and payments or directs private pay customers to payment plans.
• Maintains patient files and census updates; assists with admissions and scheduling.
• Follows HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Assists with administrative duties such as typing and filing.
