Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in medical patient financial services preferred.
• Experience with hospital patient registrations and billing is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and financial assistance options is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives to obtain accurate demographics.
• Register patients for outpatient and inpatient procedures.
• Estimate costs, perform credit checks, and arrange payment plans.
• Explain patient accounts and assist with financial documentation.
• Ensure insurance eligibility and required authorizations for procedures.
• Answer inquiries from insurance companies, physicians, patients, and staff.
• Escort patients and families to locations as needed.
• Follow department policies and other duties as assigned.
