Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Patient Registration Clerk for outpatient services. You will register patients for labs, radiology, physical therapy, and ER/inpatient services, schedule appointments, obtain authorizations, and manage medical records.

You will greet patients, answer phones, and process fees while maintaining confidentiality. Role requires strong English communication, attention to detail, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years medical billing experience or 2+ years healthcare insurance knowledge in a healthcare setting.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; medical terminology preferred.
• Attention to detail and proficiency with computer applications.
• Able to interact respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and office skills.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for outpatient areas (lab, radiology, physical therapy) with accuracy.
• Schedule appointments and obtain required prior authorizations for outpatient services.
• Answer phones and greet patients; direct to appropriate locations and services.
• Prepare and maintain medical records and collect service fees.
• Verify NH registration data-entry for billing accuracy; NH billing to Oklahoma Medicaid.
• Maintain supplies and assist ER registration as needed.
