Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Isleta is hiring a Patient Access Advocate I. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect demographics, and determine patient liabilities at the point of service.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate data in the ADT system, educating patients on benefits, and maintaining a high level of customer service. This is a full-time, 12-hour night-shift role at PRESNow 24/7 Urgent and Emergency Care in Isleta.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in healthcare or 1 year in customer service.
• Pass 2-week Patient Access Academy with 85%+ (within 6 months of start).
• CHAA/CHAM or other equivalent certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic and financial information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Explain patient financial responsibilities and assist with billing questions.
• Ensure accurate data entry and documentation in the system.
• Provide CARES and AIDET-based patient interaction and support.
