Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking an Associate Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, handling patient registration and financial clearance. The role includes check-ins, scheduling, payment collection, insurance verification, and ensuring compliance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prefer 1+ years in healthcare with strong customer service experience. Proficiency in registrations and EPIC is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in a healthcare office setting and/or strong customer service background (preferred).
• Proficient in all types of registrations (inpatient, outpatient, emergency).
• Completes Admissions, Discharges and Transfers promptly when applicable.
• Ability to monitor and manage patient hospital and ambulatory movements.
• Uses EPIC work queue to pre-register scheduled patients.
• Verifies medical necessity per CMS standards and communicates coverage/eligibility information to patients.
• Accurately identifies and enters patient demographics, insurance and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies confidential health and financial information from patients for services.
