Job summary

Behavioral Health Group - BHG is seeking a Patient Registration Coordinator in Houma, LA. You will greet patients, collect and verify demographic and insurance details, and ensure accurate eligibility checks and payments processing.

This role supports compliance and delivers a compassionate, professional experience from arrival to checkout. Work hours are Monday–Friday with an early shift plus a rotating Saturday, offering a structured schedule and opportunities for development within a growing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience as a general office clerk with basic math, accounting skills, and cash handling experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in front desk, admissions, billing, and/or collections.

Responsibilities

• Be one of the first friendly faces patients and visitors see, creating a warm and professional experience.
• Register new and returning patients while verifying demographic, insurance, and identification information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and prior authorizations to help patients understand their coverage.
• Collect patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance, while accurately processing daily financial transactions.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly and provide helpful, compassionate support.
