Job summary

Behavioral Health Group - BHG in Monroe, LA seeks a Patient Registration/Billing Coordinator to greet patients, register new and returning patients, verify demographics and insurance, and explain financial responsibilities.

The role supports front desk operations, collects copays, handles daily transactions, and ensures compliance with regulations, while offering a schedule that includes early morning shifts, weekends on a rotating basis, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of general office clerk experience with basic math, accounting, and cash handling.
• Experience in front desk, admissions, billing, and/or collections.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and identification information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and prior authorizations; explain coverage and responsibilities to patients.
• Collect patient payments (copays, deductibles, coinsurance) and process daily transactions.
• Answer incoming calls promptly with compassionate support; protect patient privacy.
• Support compliance with applicable regulations and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare weekly reports and assist with office operations and data entry.
