Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health seeks a healthcare access associate to greet patients, perform front desk registration, and coordinate scheduling across the care continuum. You will collect co-pays, manage cash, and support outreach via MyChart messaging and confirmations.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a customer-service oriented attitude in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility preferred.
• Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills.
• Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• NAHAM CHAA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests utilizing AIDET while providing an individualized excellent patient service experience.
• Performs all registration functions including full registration and updating demographics, insurance information, and obtaining signatures.
• Makes appointments, including follow-up appointments across the healthcare continuum.
• Collects co-pays and outstanding balances; reconciles cash drawer daily.
• Uses kiosks and tablets to assist patients at arrival; stands/walks for shifts as required.
• Maintains patient outreach for MyChart messaging and confirmations.
