Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Patient Access professional to verify insurance, gather patient demographics, and support front-desk and billing activities. You will interact with patients, families, physicians, and staff to ensure accurate information and smooth intake processes.

The role requires strong communication, medical terminology understanding, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment, with opportunities to collaborate across departments.

Competenze

• 1 year of healthcare or related clerical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPAR or CHAA preferred.
• Experience using patient registration systems and insurance verification systems.

Mansioni

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, clinical staff, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification.
• Interviews patients to obtain complete demographic and financial information and ensures forms are completed as required.
• Enters data into systems for registration, billing, patient tracking, charge capture, and reconciliation.
• Verifies insurance coverage and authorizations if applicable.
• Explains regulatory financial requirements and collects deposits or deductibles as needed.
• Assists with patient accounting by ensuring accurate data to produce clean claims and reduce denials.
