Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a skilled Patient Access Clerk to support patient registration, insurance verification, and billing processes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will collect demographic and financial information, verify insurance, and schedule appointments while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality across multiple locations. A 1-year healthcare or related clerical background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians and insurers to verify information.
• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial data.
• Enters data for registration, billing, and patient tracking.
• Verifies insurance coverage and authorizations.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates procedures.
