You will interact with patients, families and providers, handle scheduling and intake tasks, and ensure accurate data entry in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPAR or CHAA certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, clinical staff, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification.
• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial information and ensures forms are completed per regulatory requirements.
• Enters data into registration, billing, and patient tracking systems to minimize wait times.
• Verifies insurance coverage and authorizations as applicable.
• Explains financial requirements to patients and collects deposits or deductibles as needed.
• Supports patient accounting by providing accurate data for clean claims and timely payments.
