Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Patient Access professional to communicate with patients, families and insurers, verify information, and support registration, billing and scheduling processes. This role emphasizes accuracy, empathy and compliance, with day shifts and a regular Monday-Friday schedule.

The position requires 1 year healthcare clerical experience, a high school diploma, and CPAR or CHAA preferred.

Competenze

1 year of healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent may be considered in lieu of experience
CPAR or CHAA certification preferred
Experience using patient registration systems, insurance verification systems, and Medicaid portals

Mansioni

Communicates with patients, families, physicians, clinical staff, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification.
Interviews patients and families to obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information.
Enters data into system for registration, billing, patient tracking, charge capture, and reconciliation.
Verifies insurance coverage and/or validates authorizations.
Explains regulatory financial requirements to patient or responsible party and collects posts deposits or deductible amounts.
Assists Patient Accounting by capturing accurate and compliant data elements to produce clean claims and prevent denials.
Escalates immediate needs to appropriate leaders and/or clinical team members.
