• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients for hospital services and pre-admit as needed.
• Obtain authorization and verify insurance for admissions and outpatient procedures.
• Interview patients or representatives to collect/verify personal and insurance information.
• Provide information about billing, rights, and HIPAA; distribute literature.
• Collect co-pays when arranged and forward to the Business Office.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and available services.
• Communicate with patients and families with respect and confidentiality.
