Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Prefer at least 6 months experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
• Basic computer skills and ability to type accurately.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for hospital services from a physician’s office and pre-admit when needed.
• Understand admissions requirements and verify insurance eligibility.
• Interview patients or their representatives to collect or verify information.
• Communicate billing information, patient rights, and HIPAA policies to patients.
• Collect payments when applicable and forward to the Business Office.
