Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register demographics; verify or obtain accurate information.
• Identify insurance eligibility, pre-certification, and patient financial responsibility.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles, provide financial counseling when appropriate, and document in the EHR.
• Perform verification with patients, physicians, and payors; ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of protected health information and use registration systems.
