Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Registration Specialist at the Edgerton location (6901 W Edgerton Ave) to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and support reliable front-desk operations. You will create the initial electronic health record, ensure HIPAA compliance, explain financial responsibilities to patients, and coordinate with Financial Advocates as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record foundational to patient care.
• Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and payment information.
• Explain financial responsibilities and refer to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Greet patients, answer calls, and provide customer service.
• Assist with scheduling, appointments, and patient portal guidance.
