Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record foundation and ensure patient identity.
• Check in and register patients; verify demographics and insurance information.
• Discuss and collect co-pays and patient responsibilities; ensure timely payments.
• Explain insurance plans and financial obligations; refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Follow HIPAA and related regulations; obtain necessary signatures.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate changes as needed; provide pre-test instructions.
• Greet patients, answer calls, and assist with transportation and directions.
• Monitor and manage EHR work queues per department process.
