Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare front desk/registration is not required but helpful.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality rules.

Responsibilities

• Create initial electronic health record foundations for patient care teams.
• Register patients, verify demographics, insurance and collect co-pays.
• Explain insurance coverage to patients and refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate communications and test preparations.
• Provide welcoming, professional customer service to patients and visitors.
• Monitor and manage electronic health record work queues.
