THOM Thomas Hospitals in Charleston, WV is seeking an experienced administrative clerk to support patient registration and financial obligations. You will collect demographic and insurance information, explain billing procedures, and enter data into registration and billing systems.

The role requires a high school diploma, attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume hospital setting.

Explain insurance coverage, payment responsibilities, and hospital procedures to patients.
May handle pre-certifications and authorizations as needed.
Prepare consent forms and obtain electronic signatures.
Collect deposits, co-pays, deductibles, and patient payments and document in systems.
Prepare patient armbands and balance daily receipts.
Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients per hospital workflows.
Check orders for completeness against scheduled services.
