The position requires a High School Diploma with 2 years of related experience, strong data-entry skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting. Training on AIDET standards is provided.

Qualifications

• Typing speed of 25 WPM and familiarity with data-entry and web-based systems.
• Proficiency in handling patient information accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients and family members.
• Explain the registration process and gather demographic, insurance and financial information.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and explain out-of-pocket costs.
• Pre-register and register patients using ADT system and prepare documents.
• Manage pre-registrations and registrations with attention to consent and HIPAA considerations.
• Coordinate with physicians and care coordinators to ensure order quality and coverage.
• Collect co-insurance and co-pays according to policy.
