Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Clinic Business Representative Associate to warmly welcome patients, collect demographic and financial data, and register them accurately in the electronic medical record.

You will support phone registrations, handle co-pays, and help manage the patient lobby, while participating in staff meetings and weekly downtime checks.

This 0.8 FTE role offers day/evening shifts, no weekends, and emphasizes a patient-first care experience in a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
• Minimum 1 year computer knowledge
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook)
• Customer service, clerical, or other business office environment experience
• Medical terminology knowledge

Responsibilities

• Greets, welcomes, and registers patients in person or by phone
• Collects demographic and insurance information and enters into EMR
• Assists patients with telephone encounters and directs them to appointments
• Collects co-pays and outstanding balances and answers questions about financial assistance
• Maintains lobby and check-in areas, restocks supplies, and supports office communications
• Participates in staff meetings and weekly downtime checks
