Job summary

FMOL Health in Baton Rouge is seeking a front desk / patient registration clerk to accurately register patients in the EMR, verify insurance coverage, and collect required payments. You will ensure a positive patient experience while following established guidelines under supervision.

The role requires strong customer service, ability to multi-task, basic computer literacy, and proficiency with Epic during onboarding. Experience with billing procedures and payer interactions is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a customer service/front desk role or a graduate of a front office/medical office program.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in Epic during the introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR (Epic) and verify insurance coverage.
• Explain billing procedures and anticipated charges to patients.
• Greet patients and manage the flow of the clinic to ensure a smooth experience.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and account follow-ups as needed.
