Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a driven Outpatient Registration staff member to coordinate patient interviews by phone and in person, verify insurance, and schedule appointments for optimal financial clearance.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer and typing skills, and the ability to work with diverse patients. Training is completed in two attempts or less, with a day shift and onsite work at a primary Allentown location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience or 1 year in a healthcare setting (hospital/physician office).
• Must be proficient with computers and typing.
• Able to interact with diverse customers, including emergencies.
• Must complete required training within two attempts or less.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
• Guide patients through registration process to ensure positive experience.
• Ensure orders are complete and match appointments.
• Obtain a new order if incomplete or inaccurate.
• Scan insurance cards, docs, and signatures for timely reimbursement.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect out-of-pocket fees.
