Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an Registration/Insurance Verification Specialist to coordinate patient registration, verify insurance, and schedule appointments. You will educate patients on financial responsibilities and secure necessary documentation to ensure accurate processing and timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients by phone and in person, confirming referrals, scanning documents, and maintaining compliance with registration accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year in customer service or healthcare setting preferred.
• Associate’s degree in health care or related field preferred.
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English is a plus.
• Experience with insurance verification and medical terminology beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients by phone and in person to collect demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
• Verify referrals and authorizations and ensure alignment with scheduled appointments.
• Scan and file insurance cards, prescriptions, IDs, and regulatory forms accurately.
• Explain financial responsibilities and assist with estimates and financial counseling as needed.
• Maintain registration accuracy and identify scheduling conflicts to support department flow.
