Job summary

THOM Thomas Hospitals seeks a patient access professional to collect comprehensive patient information for medical triage and scheduling. You will work across departments, using Cordata and Epic, to coordinate care and obtain insurance verification and pre-certification where needed.

You will communicate appointment details, assist with financial questions, and ensure accurate demographic and billing data entry to support claims and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Two years of clinical or customer service experience.
• Three years of direct customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture complete and accurate patient information for medical triage.
• Identify urgent patients and coordinate care across departments.
• Obtain insurance information and pre-certification details.
• Coordinate external medical records and referrals in systems.
• Communicate appointment details and pre-procedure instructions.
• Explain insurance and payment requirements to patients.
