Qualifications

• Prior experience in a business setting providing customer service while processing and verifying electronic demographic, financial or other business-related information and data.
• Able to work successfully in a fast-paced, multi-task environment and to make independent decisions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients presenting for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes patient co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles and balances due; safeguards cash and receipts.
• Completes the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage accordingly.
• Obtains signatures on consent forms and financial documents; scans and records documents.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs; maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Initiates scheduling by prioritizing multiple sources and coordinating with clinical departments.
• Verifies patient information and insurance coverage using real-time eligibility; captures all required data.
