Qualifications

• Experience in a clinical office setting is preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and scheduling software is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of this practice’s routines and scheduling is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating referrals at a high volume and scheduling patients promptly.
• Using Teams, email and chart messaging for effective communication.
• Accesses outside labs and PHI from external EMR systems.
• Answers and routes routine questions or takes thorough messages.
• Delivers accurate and timely messages per procedures.
• Communicates with referring offices to gather PHI for scheduling.
• Schedules initial patient appointments per physician/office guidelines.
• Provides appointment details including time, location and directions.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA and laws.
• Performs general administrative support and file handling.
