Job summary

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to register and schedule patient appointments, answer routine questions, and relay messages between patients and clinical staff. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some scheduling experience in a specialty office preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft (Outlook, Office Word, and Excel) required.
• Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.

Responsibilities

• Manages a schedule for a provider, including labs, visits and chemotherapy.
• Answers, screens, and responds to routine questions; routes to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules returning appointments with details for patients.
• Records cancellations and reschedules, notes in patient chart.
• Adheres to confidentiality and HIPAA laws regarding patient records.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
