Job summary

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to register and schedule patient appointments efficiently, handle calls, and relay messages between patients and clinical staff. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Some reception/office experience preferred.
• Surgery scheduling experience preferred.
• Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.
• Demonstrates Adaptability; handles day to day work challenges confidently.
• Shows Work Commitment; sets high standards of performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide and explain patient paperwork before examinations; collect, file, and update demographics.
• Answer, screen, route calls, and relay messages promptly.
• Coordinate surgery scheduling with local hospitals and centers.
• Schedule follow-up appointments with details.
• Record cancellations and reschedule; update patient charts.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Other duties as assigned; may type memos and forms.
