Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience; healthcare setting preferred.
• Internal Level I six months; external candidates require one year.
• Typing speed of 40 wpm and proficient English grammar.

Responsibilities

• Responds to high-volume calls and faxes, routing and documenting inquiries.
• Schedules and maintains routine patient appointments for new and returning patients.
• Facilitates communication between patient, physician and clinics.
• Documents notes in the medical record and uses reference tools to provide accurate information.
• Escalates urgent needs and coordinates with care teams to obtain required information.
