Job summary

Optum is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to support daily operations within the assigned facility and the Patient Access contact center. You will mentor staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure adherence to policy, quality, and compliance standards.

In this role you’ll partner with leadership to optimize workflows, improve data integrity, and deliver exceptional customer service while managing resources and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in a hospital Patient Registration Department, hospital or physician office setting, healthcare insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, and/or other revenue cycle role.
• 1+ years of experience with major Patient Access technologies and/or other "like" systems.
• Ability to travel 5% to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational guidance and support to assigned staff under the direction of the Patient Access Manager.
• Develops effective schedules and assignments to ensure cost effective staffing and optimal workflow.
• Performs staff support and crosses-trained coverage across multiple sites as needed.
• Maintains data integrity and prepares management reports related to patient access metrics.
