Job summary

AndHealth LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking a Patient Onboarding Specialist to join our Central Scheduling team, the Front Door to our care access model. You’ll guide patients through complex needs with empathy, precision, and judgement, ensuring a smooth path from referral to visit.

You’ll own the referral process, verify insurance, collect consents, retrieve records, and address barriers like transportation.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate patient scheduling across all service lines, balancing urgency, clinical priorities, and patient needs.
• Own the referral process end-to-end: interpret referrals, schedule patients, document outcomes in partner EHRs and internal systems.
• Serve as the first problem-solver for incoming calls from patients, partners, or other stakeholders, diagnose needs and connect to the right team.
• Set up patients for success at first visit: verify insurance and consents, retrieve records, complete questionnaires, uncover barriers like transportation.
• Deliver a Wow experience by combining empathy, resourcefulness, and tech savvy to support patients and reassure partners.
• Take ownership of timely communication: return calls quickly, document outcomes, keep stakeholders informed.
• Collaborate with teammates to refine playbooks, workflows, and tools as we scale the department.
• Uphold HIPAA and data privacy standards with meticulous documentation.
• Strive for excellence by meeting service benchmarks on responsiveness, readiness for visit, and documentation quality.
