Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in customer service or a healthcare environment.
• Certification or vocational training may be required.
• 4 years of relevant experience required; 6+ years preferred.
• Associate degree in a relevant field may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about products, services, and procedures to staff and patients.
• Schedule return visits and other appointments as assigned.
• Ensure accurate collection of appointment, demographic, and insurance data.
• Support physicians and patients by coordinating their requests in one transaction.
• Solve routine and complex customer problems and direct questions as needed.
• Communicate with clinical staff and department personnel to meet needs.
• Create a positive first impression and maintain professionalism.
• Utilize EMR, scheduling/registration systems, ABN, eligibility, and document management tools.
• Provide orientation for new staff and interns and educate on standards and policies.
